Would like to try some thing new here, Please send me emails too add of your fishing trips, Would like to keep it Walley Specific and current. Please send: place, date, time, tackle/bait and of course pictures. Send to Me at: carvingfish@yahoo.com March 27th 2010 I fished the Columbia at Rufus this past saturday, March 27th. My neighbor and I hit the water about 8:30 and fished for about 8 hours, Spent most of our time just above the grain elevators and down to the marker a little below the gravel pit. We stayed in about 20 t0 28 feet and were able to snag 9 nice eaters and a nice smallie to release, also caught a sucker for fun. The walleyes were caught on worm harnesses, with a walleye pop , maroon and yellow being the best. The fish were all from the same year I would guess as the size only varied by a couple inches. 18 to 19.75 inches. water temp was about 48 degrees and all the fish were males only one was squirting milt, so it looks like they are about to do their thing. Wind picked up around noon and made it tough, but about 4 PM it layed down a bit and fishing was really good. Neil Jenkins Oct.2-4 2009 I'm a new member this year, attached is my big fish of the year, 9.92 lb Walleye caught Oct. 2 - 4 night fishing. Wanted to make the big fish list and give a bit of a fishing report, They were bighting pretty good over the weekend in the Umatilla pool. We caught over 25 fish between the night bite and during the day. It had its usual amount of wind including two days of rain but when we could fish things were great. We released all the big one's and kept some nice eaters. At night we used plugs and spinners during the day.
Fish out report for 3-4 October 2009 October 3 and 4 2009 Fishout Saturday found two boats on the water. Frank Byran and Tom Schindlbeck caught one walleye; Dan Dougherty and Lyle Amundson caught four. Dan is a new member of the club and caught his first walleye, three pounds nine ounces. Sunday was a great day for catching the elusive walleye. We had three boats on the water: (1) Jim Gurtisen and Don Merrill caught five (they had to leave early). (2) Frank Byran, Lon Mills and Lyle Amundson caught 21. Lon is also a new member of the club and caught his first walleye plus seven more. Nobody came close to the team of Tom Schindlbeck, Greg Dempsey and Neil Jenkins, they caught 40 walleye. We were following them and it seemed they were always going for their net. They had a number of doubles and one triple for the day. Congratulations guys! Lyle
